Investing right from the start
Experts on early childhood development agree: you have to begin at the beginning. We must pay attention to the earliest stages of life for that is when the raw material for schools, jobs, healthy families and our nation's future is developed.

Otherwise it's too little, too late. And we all pay the price in high rates of illiteracy, substance abuse, family violence and unemployment.

Investments in infants and toddlers show a persistent pattern of strong effects most clearly seen by measures of social performance and lifetime achievement. For every dollar spent now in early childhood intervention, there's a $3–8 savings enjoyed by the community later on. Children are more likely to complete school and build and sustain relationships and much less likely to require welfare or engage in criminal activities.

Please join a select group of philanthropic, business, education and public policy leaders and our distinguished panel of experts as we explore how the science of child development and the value of early investment align to lay the groundwork for healthier children and families in our community—right from the start.

Discover new tools and meaningful insight to learn, do, and give more for the greatest returns.
